- Member of the UNK football team and is in a leadership role and/or unity council

(NCCEF) Nebraska Cooperative Council Education Foundation Scholarship Fund in Honor of Michael S. Turner
The following criteria are required for this scholarship:
- Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior
- Must be majoring in agri-business
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
- Must be a son/daughter of a parent/legal guardian who has been an active member, director, or employee for at least the prior 3 years of a cooperative which has been a member in good standing of the Council for the past 5 years
3. Mattie M. Larsen Scholarship
Established by the estate of Mattie Larsen, this scholarship will be awarded to a worthy student from Custer or Logan Counties.
4. Fay W. Fuller Scholarship
Established by the friends and family of Fay W. Fuller to provide financial assistance to students who are residents of either Custer or Logan counties in Nebraska. Selection will be based on scholarship and financial need.
5. Alice M. & Dick M. Hock Scholarship
This scholarship shall be awarded to full-time students. Recipients shall have junior or senior class standing, a minimum 2.8 GPA, graduated from a Nebraska high school, and have exhibited good moral character and citizenship. Preference shall be given to candidates who are members of Fellowship of Christian Athletes or any other campus ministry organization (i.e. Campus Crusade for Christ, Christian Student Fellowship, United Campus Ministries).
7. Dr. Herbert L. Cushing & Margaret Anderson Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to commemorate the lives of Margaret Cushing Anderson and Herbert Cushing, Jr., children of Dr. and Mrs. Herbert L. Cushing. Dr. Cushing was the fourth President of Kearney State College and served for twenty-five years. This scholarship shall be awarded to full-time undergraduate students who have sophomore, junior, or senior class standing, a minimum 3.0 GPA, graduated from a Nebraska high school, and majoring in Pre-Medicine, Journalism or English.
8. George A. Crosscup Memorial Scholarship
Established by a gift from the estate of Estella Pearl Crosscup in memory of George A. Crosscup, this scholarship will be awarded to a UNK student whose primary residence is in Buffalo County. Preference will be given to those students with farm backgrounds and who demonstrate financial need.
9. Harold E. Willey Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a child of a Nebraska farmer, rancher, or persons in an agricultural-related business. The recipient should have an academic level of a sophomore or above with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
9.10 James M. Cox Foundation Scholarship
The preference for this scholarship is that the recipient should be a resident of York or Hamilton Counties. If there are no candidates who meet this requirement, preference then goes to students from the eastern third of Nebraska. The recipient must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 and must demonstrate financial need.
9.11 Mr. & Mrs. W.O. King Scholarship
Established by Mr. & Mrs. King to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students who are sons or daughters of residents of Buffalo County.
9.12 Sue Stoetzel Withycombe Scholarship
Established to help support students of UNK who might be displaced from agricultural occupations by adverse circumstances (but the donors do not impose this as an absolute requirement). Selection criteria considered includes past academic achievement and demonstration of potential for future academic and professional accomplishments.
9.13 Peggy (Robinson) & Michael Kelley Scholarship
Established to assist students of UNK. Special consideration shall be given to students with any of the following attributes: graduates of Holdrege High School, graduates of Millard North High School, affiliated with Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, or majoring in Accounting. Selection will be based on financial need and consideration will be given to students who are academically eligible but may be financially restrained from continuing their education.
9.14 UNK Staff Dependents Scholarship
Established to help a dependent of any UNK Office/Service worker employed during the academic term the scholarship is used. The definition of dependent will follow the same guidelines covering the Spouse/Dependent waiver, which is 24 years old or younger and a full time student. The recipient must be an undergraduate, upperclass student having completed 28 or more hours, working towards a degree, and having declared a major in one of the colleges. The student must be maintaining the minimum cumulative GPA required for graduation from that college. Along with academic performance, assessment of the student's need for assistance will be taken into consideration in the awarding, as well as extracurricular activities and work experience. All scholarships can be renewed upon continued maintance of the ceiteria listed above and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
9.15 UNKEA Undergraduate Academic Scholarship
The recipient of this scholarship must be the child of a UNKEA member who is employed during the academic term for which the scholarship is awarded. The recipient must have a minimum of 12 completed credit hours and a minimum grade point average of 2.5. Full-time enrollment is required during the semesters in which the scholarship is awarded to the student. In addition to academic performance, financial need and participation in extracurricular activities may be considered in awarding this scholarship.
ACM Academic Scholarship
The recipient of this scholarship shall be a member of the ACM organization at UNK. The minimum grade point required is 3.0. Candidates shall have completed 14 credit hours in computer science.
Adams Family English Scholarship
This scholarship shall be awarded to an undergraduate majoring in English Education with sophomore class standing or above and a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
Addie Lewis Lybarger Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman and then renewed each year until that student has graduated. It is then awarded to another incoming freshman, etc.
This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman student at UNK who has graduated from any Grand Island Nebraska Public High School. GPA shall not be a controlling criterion in selection. Preference is given to students who have demonstrated financial need and who have demonstrated good character. Candidates should also be US citizens or lawful permanent residents.
Donor prefers Grand Island High School. Work with guidance staff, David Woods, to select recipient.
Agnes & Harry Neal Scholarship
Annually or otherwise. Regularly enrolled undergraduate. Major in Education. Cum GPA 2.5 or above.
Al & Verlene Zikmund Athletic Scholarship
- Established to help support students enrolled at UNK.
- Recipients must have a student classification of sophomore or above and be a member of the varsity football team.
- Recipients will be selected by the football coaches and athletic director of UNK.
- The recipient should be academically eligible and remain so to participate in athletics and be moving toward graduating with a degree from UNK.
Alan & Irene Smith Biology and Plant Science Endowed Scholarship
Back to 2 awards for the 22-23 year.
This Fund shall provide one or two scholarships to students in the Department of Biology, College of Arts and Sciences, UNK. No more than two scholarships shall be awarded during any academic year. Scholarships may be renewed so long as recipients remain in good academic standing and continue to meet the criteria set forth below.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Studying in Biology
- Demonstrated an emphasis in Plant Science with the intent of working in that field
- No students in Health Science
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate Class Standing
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above

Established to help support students of UNK. It shall be awarded to members of Alpha Tau Omega, Zeta Upsilon Chapter, enrolled in any College of UNK. Recipients shall be selected by the Alumni Board of the Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega, or other such committee as appointed by same. Recipients must be an active member of the Zeta Upsilon Chapter in good standing. Recipients shall be determined by the following criteria: Leadership Qualities--based on a high standard of integrity, fraternal involvement, campus involvement, character and other such qualities as exemplified by the recipient; Scholarship--minimum GPA considered will be equal to or above the local active chapter GPA, with more preference given to the student with a higher GPA; Need--the Alumni Board shall consider need, although it should not be the determining factor. Scholarships awarded are for second semester.
Alvin Brown Memorial Scholarship
Established by friends and family of Alvin Brown, this scholarship will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student.
Recipient must be a member of the varsity football or men's basketball program, and have graduated from a Nebraska high school. Selection shall be made by the Athletic Director, Football and Men's Basketball Coach.
Amanda Bosak Memorial Scholarship
Established by the family of Amanda Bosak, this scholarship shall be awarded to students majoring in Biology or Criminal Justice. Candidates shall be juniors or seniors with a 3.0 or above GPA. Financial need will be considered.
Amos & Doris Greenamyre Scholarship
Anita and Ron Norman Fine Arts Endowed Scholarship
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible for this scholarship:
- Candidates must be majoring in English, Theatre, or Music in the College of Fine Arts and Humanities, UNK.
- Candidates shall have sophomore class standing or above.
- Candidates shall have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Financial need shall not be a criterion in making this award.
Anita Nickman/ Kearney Area Builders Association Scholarship
Recipient must be a full-time undergraduate majoring in Construction Management in the Department of Industrial Technology. The recipient must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and sophomore class standing or above.
Ann Stockton Memorial Scholarship Presented by Brenda Vanlengen
- Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled undergraduate students.
- Candidates shall be graduates of a NE or KS high school defined as high schools with a class "C" classification or below under the NESAA or the equivalent for Kansas high schools.
- Candidates shall have expressed a desire to pursue a career in the area of teaching/coaching, broadcasting or marketing in that order of priority following graduation from UNK.

- First preference for graduates of Fillmore Central Public High School in Geneva, Nebraska.

Antonio Paez Memorial Scholarship Fund
AOPI Chapter Outstanding Leaders Council Officer Award
Eligible candidates shall be a currently enrolled undergraduate with a 3.0 or above cumulative GPA, current member in good standing with AOPI, and currently or formerly served as a member of the Leaders Council AOPi.
Not selected through SM. Applications given to during September and recipient names given to Financial Aid.

- Each fall, an Internal AOII Scholarship Committee asks for applications from any current AOII's who have served on Leaders Council. After selection, the AOII committee reaches out of UNK Financial Aid office with the selected recipient to be awarded for spring semester.
Archrival Student Relief Fund
To be used for 2 scholarships per year of equal value; one award to be awarded to a junior for his or her senior year, the second award to be awarded to a senior to offset the cost of his or her senior show; recipients must demonstrate excellence in Visual Communications and Design. Both candidates shall be selected by a 3 member jury, one UNK VCD faculty and 2 nationally or internationally recognized designers as chosen by UNK VCD faculty.
Arden & Delores Swanson Athletic Scholarship Fund
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled undergraduates.
Candidates shall be members of either the football team or the volleyball team.
Preference shall be given to candidates who are residents of Kearney or Phelps counties.
Arden & Delores Swanson Global Experiences Scholarship
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled undergraduate students. Candidates shall be pursuing any major, have a cum GPA of 2.5 or above, be studying abroad (outside of Canada & US) and be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Arlen A. Olson Memorial Scholarship for UNK Aviation Systems Management
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Pursuing a major in Aviation Systems Management Program

This scholarship is awarded to a graduate student in English for the purpose of promoting a more exact and accurate use of the English Language.

Awarded to any sophomore, junior or senior who has graduated from Broken Bow High School in Broken Bow, NE.
Artice Miles Scholarship
This Fund shall provide scholarships to one or more students in the Department of Social Work, CASC, UNK.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Graduate of a NE High School
- Pursuing a degree in Social Work with full-time enrollment in the Social Work Program (15 hours minimum)
- Sophomore of Junior class standing
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Demonstrated aptitude and potential for the profession of social work
- Demonstrated financial need
Associated Women Students Endowed Scholarship
Established by the Associated Women Students Organization to provide financial assistance to a junior or senior student; must have a minor in women's studies or women's and gender studies.
B.M. Stevenson Family Endowment
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled fulltime undergraduate students at UNK. Minimum amount of each scholarship is $4000.

Bahensky Family Endowed Scholarship

Scholarships shall be renewable for recipients based on satisfactory academic progress up to the completion of the degree program. Student athletes must also remain as a member on a varsity athletic team to be eligible for renewal.
Bamford Family Scholarship
This scholarship shall be awarded to undergraduate students in the Industrial Technology Department. Candidates should be majoring in Construction Management and have sophomore or above class standing.
Bamford Men's Basketball Scholarship Fund
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Member's of the men's basketball team, UNK
- Freshman or above class standing
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above

Barbara Hershberger Bush Delta Xi Scholarship
This Fund shall provide one or more scholarships to undergraduate students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Candidates shall be members of the Delta Xi Chapter of Alpha Phi, UNK.
Recipients of this scholarship shall be determined by the Delta Xi chapter advisor, in consultation with the Delta Xi Chapter Property Committee President and a Bush family representative, and submitted to the Office of Financial Aid, UNK for verification that recipients meet the criteria.
Barbara Hurt-Simmons Student Leader Scholarship ***Incoming Freshman Scholarship***

Awarded to student who is a member of the varsity football team at UNK; first preference to candidates pursuing major in the College of B & T at UNK. Recipient to be determined by head football coach, dept of intercollegiate athletics, UNK.
Bernard & Norma Jean Lee Undergrad/Freshman
Undergrad: Annually or otherwise for one scholarship to a regularly enrolled undergraduate student at UNK/UNL/UNO. Preference given to graduates of a high school located in Keith County, NE.
Freshman: Annually or otherwise for one scholarship to a regularly enrolled undergraduate student at UNK/UNL/UNO. Candidates shall have incoming freshman status with preference given to graduates of Ogallala High School who have demonstrated interest in the arts.
Bernard Stutheit Memorial Scholarship
Established by friends and family of Bernhard Stutheit, this scholarship will be awarded to a junior or senior student majoring in English. The recipient must have a minmum 3.5 GPA.
Bernice D. Mantor Memorial Scholarship
Established by the friends and family of the late Mrs. Mantor to provide financial assistance to a junior or senior student majoring in Family Studies and Interior Design. The recipient must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Selection is based upon scholarship, accomplishment, professional goals and participation in campus activities.
Bert Wallace Memorial Scholarship
Established to help support students in athletics, with track to be given preference.
Recipients should have a minimum 3.0 GPA, or if a freshman, be in the top 20% of their high school graduating class.
Recipients shall be selected by the UNK Scholarship Committee from applicants recommended by the Athletic Director.
Bessie Schiemann Scholarship
Estate fund to be used for scholarships for students from Shelton High School and Sandy Creek (formerly Clay Center) High School attending UNK. Students shall be selected on the basis of financial need, with at least average grades, with the likelihood that they will complete college with a bachelor's degree.
Best/Remington Industrial Distribution Scholarship
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Pursuing a major in Industrial Distribution
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior class standing
Scholarships may be renewed so long as recipients remain in good academic standing and continue to meet the criteria set forth above.
Beta Gamm Sigma
Awarded to currently enrolled senior or graduate student who is a current member of Beta Gamma Sigma; degree seeking in business program.
Big Cred Scholarship
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Member of the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union (NUFCU) or has an immediate family member who is a member
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

Bilingual Service Scholarship --Transfer
Bilingual Service Scholarship
The Bilingual Service Scholarship provides up to $6,000 annually to live in university housing. The scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a degree in a service field with high need for bilingual professionals. Students majoring in education, social work, criminal justice, and other professions in which bilingual or multilingual skills are prominent are encouraged to apply. The award is renewable for up to 4 years for students who live in on-campus housing.

- Complete the General Incoming Freshman Scholarship Application

- Must demonstrate a commitment to a profession in which bilingual or multilingual skills are prominent
- Have a GPA of 3.0 of higher OR an ACT score of 23 or higher OR must have been awarded to Nebraska Seal of Biliteracy in a foreign language
Only Completed applications will be considered. A completed application must include the submission of the General Incoming Freshman Scholarship application including the essay for the Bilingual Service Scholarship. In addition, students must provide a copy of all high school and college transcripts to UNK providing confirmation of high school GPA, ACT score OR upload the Nebraska Seal of Biliteracy Certificate.

Recipients must be a Vocal Music major with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Selection criteria considered included past academic achievement and demonstration of potential for future academic and professional accomplishments. Contact the Department of Music & Performing Arts for an application.

Bleeding Blue Heart Scholarship
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Member of the Football team in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at UNK
- Incoming freshman class standing, except for renewals
- Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above
- Resident of NE
- Demonstrated financial need
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska UNK Health Science Scholarship
Candidates shall be graduates if any Nebraska school excluding high school located in Douglas, Sarpy and Lancaster Counties.
Candidates shall express a desire to pursue healthcare career in rural Nebraska following graduation. Scholarship can be renewed upon continued maintenance of all criteria and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Health Sciences will select recipients outside of the scholarship manager.
Boars International Scholarship
Established to assist one or more full-time undergraduate students enrolled at UNK. Selection criteria include being active in varsity athletics at UNK, a resident of Nebraska, of sophomore, junior, or senior status, and a minimum 2.0 GPA. Financial need will not be a criteria. Recipients shall be selected by the UNK Scholarship Committee.
Bob & Dode Sahling Scholarship Fund
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarship to members of the Varsity Football Team. Candidates must be graduates of a NE high school and maintain at least a 2.75 GA.
Bob & Dora Jenner Memorial Scholarship
Established by Bob Jenner in memory of his wife Dora and himself, this scholarship will provide financial assistance to students majoring in Communications or Theatre. Preference is given to students graduating from Loup City High School.
Bob and Margene Phares Scholarship
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Pursuing a degree in the College of Education
- Demonstrated academic merit
Bobbie McKenzie Scholarship
Full-time, juniors or seniors majoring in Journalism or Mass Communication with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates shall have completed or be in the process of completing two semesters of work on the Antelope Newspaper or have completed a three credit newspaper internship at UNK. Candidates should have completed at least nine hours in a Journalism/Mass Communication major at the time of application.
Boroff Family Football Scholarship
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled members of the football team.
Bowen-Hadley Scholarship
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Pursuing a major within the College of Education or the College of Business and Technology at UNK.
- Junior or Senior class standing
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Graduate of a Nebraska high school
Scholarship amounts and recipients shall be determined by the Office of Financial Aid at UNK.
Brad Beckman Memorial Football Scholarship
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled students at any NU campus pursuing any major and were former members of the varsity Football team at UNO.
Brad Beckman Memorial Scholarship
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled undergraduates pursuing any major. Candidates shall be graduates of Northwest High School in Omaha.
Brian and Carey Hamilton UNK Arts and Sciences Endowed Scholarship
This Fund shall provide one or more scholarships to undergraduate or graduate students at UNK.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:

Brian Hammond Memorial Scholarship
Established to provide financial assistance to one or more students enrolled in any college at UNK, and who have a freshman class standing or above. Recipient shall be a first year pledge of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, UNK, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.

Don Briggs Scholarship
Recipients must be full-time, with a minimum grade point average of 3.0. They must be a sophomore or junior majoring in journalism with an emphasis in Sports Communication. Preference is given to students from Central Nebraska. Financial need may be considered, but will not be the determinant factor.
This scholarship is to be awarded second semester.
The donor wishes for the funds to be given to 1 student as to make the scholarship more "meaningful".
Don Childs Memorial Scholarship
Established by the friends and family of Don Childs, to provide financial assistance to two sophomore, junior, or senior track athletes. Selection will be based upon the athletes' ability in distance running, as well as leadership qualities, and general good character. Recipients shall be selected by the track coaches.
Don Duryea Memorial Scholarship
Established by the friends and family of former English professor, Donald Duryea, this scholarship will be awarded to a senior student majoring in English Education with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
Don Hardin Scholarship
Candidates shall be graduates of Arapahoe High, Cambridge, or Southern Valley Junior/Senior High Schools; shall be pursuing a major in Agribusiness in the Department of Economics, college of B&T or College of Agricultural Sciences & Nat. Resources, UNL; after awarding to all qualified candidates pursuing agriculture-related majors any remaining spendable income may be given to students in any education major at UNK, UNL or UNO. Candidates who are incoming freshmen shall have cum gpa of 2.8 or above, all other candidates shall have cum gpa of 3.0 or above. Renewal based on cum gpa of 3.0 or above.
Don Welch Family Scholarship
This scholarship shall be awarded to a student with a minor in Philosophy who has demonstrated interest in English and Classical Poetry.
Donald & Betty Grassmeyer Fund
This scholarship shall be awarded to a Special Education major who will be student teaching during the year in which they receive the scholarship. Recipients shall have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and be graduates of a Nebraska High School.
Donald & Lela Holm Scholarship
Established to aid graduating Seniors or former graduates of Elm Creek High School who have chosen to attend UNK. Recipients shall be selected based on financial need rather than upon their academic standing or their performance on achievement tests.
Applications are available at the UNK Office of Financial Aid and the Elm Creek High School and a letter sent to UNK with recipients. The scholarship may be renewed for two additional years.
Donald and Lorena Meier Foundation Scholarship
There are several scholarships under this fund, Ada G. Meier Civic Leadership, John H. Meier, Glenn E. Meier,Dr. Woodrow W. Meier, Priscilla Harding, Donald T. Meier Teacher. Each is for a specific department, to incoming freshmen students who are graduates of Garden County High School. Selection is made by Garden County school and they send us recipients' names.
Donald L. Liehs Lexington UNK Scholarship
This scholarship shall be awarded to candidates with incoming freshman class standing or above. It is the donor's intent that 1 scholarship be awarded to an incoming freshman annually except for renewals. Candidates shall be majoring in math, chemistry, physics, biology, pre-medicine, pre-engineering or a pre-professional health program. Candidates shall have demonstrated financial need and must be graduates of Lexington High School. Candidates shall be ranked between the top 10% to 25% of their high school graduating class. May be renewed with a 3.0 GPA and cannot be given to a student who has athletic aid.

This fund shall be used for scholarships to full-time undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences at UNK. Up to three scholarships may be awarded annually, usually to one sophomore, one junior, and one senior. Following the donor's death, a minimum of six scholarships may be awarded.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
¯ Major in pre-engineering, but if there are no eligible students in that
program, then to candidates pursuing one of these majors in priority
order: mathematics, physics, or computer science
¯ Except for renewals, Sophomore class standing
¯ GPA of 3.0 or above; with preference give to students with GPAs ranging
between 3.0 and 3.5
¯ Graduate of any Nebraska high school
Preference may be given, to students who meet the following:
- Demonstrated financial need. It is the Donor’s intent to support those

Dora Day Industrial Technology Excellence Fund
This Fund shall be used annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled undergraduate students in the Department of Industrial Technology, College of Business and Technology, University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Candidates shall be enrolled or intending to enroll at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and shall be pursuing a major or a minor in Industrial Technology in the Department of Industrial Technology, College of Business and Technology, University of NE at Kearney.
- Candidates shall have an incoming class standing.
- Candidates shall have a cumulative GPA or 2.5 or above.
- Financial need shall be a criterion in making this award. All other factors being equal, the student with the least amount of financial aid should be selected.

Dr. Al Lybarger Scholarship
The recipient of this scholarship shall be an incoming freshman at UNK and graduate from Arcadia High School in Arcadia Nebraska. GPA shall not be a controlling criterion. Preference is given to students with demonstrated financial need who have demonstrated good character. Candidates should also be US citizens or lawful permanent residents.
Scholarships awarded shall stay with student until graduation and then be reawarded.

Financial need and worthiness will also be considered as well as the applicant's minority status (it being the wish of the Donors that preference be given to minority students where possible.)
Dr. Augustus O. Thomas Scholarship
This fund shall commemorate the life of Dr. Augustus O. Thomas. Candidates for the scholarship shall be majoring in one of the following: Teacher Education of College of Education, Speech Communication, English-Writing Emphasis of College of Fine Arts and Humanities. Candidates shall have a sophomore or above class standing, a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above, and shall have demonstrated leadership experience. Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate financial need.

Established by former professor, Dr. Donald E. Fox, to provide financial aid to a second semester freshman with a major or minor in Chemistry. Selection shall be based upon academic achievement, financial need, integrity, and motivation.

Annually or otherwise for one more scholarship to members of the basketball team pursuing any major at UNK. Candidates shall be graduates of any NE high school whose basketball teams are classified as Class B,C, or D. Preference shall be given to candidates who have demonstrated financial need.
Dr. Francis L. Richards/Kearney Cosmopolitan Club
Established by Dr. Francis L. Richards and Donald K. Briggs, this scholarship shall be awarded to a male or female member of the varsity track program. Recipients shall have sophomore, junior, or senior class standing, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and have graduated from a Nebraska high school. Financial need shall be a criteria but not the determining factor. Recipients shall be selected by the UNK Scholarship Committee upon recommendation from the Men's and Women's Track coaches.
Dr. Jack Campbell Memorial Scholarship
Eligible students shall be full-time, undergraduates majoring in Special Education. The recipient shall have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above and must have demonstrated financial need.

This scholarship shall be awarded to full-time students majoring in Communication Disorders or Speech Pathology. Recipients shall have junior, senior, or graduate status, a minimum 3.0 GPA, shall have excellent clinical potential, be active in the student organization KSSLHA, and shall have expressed a desire to work in the area of Speech Pathology following graduation.

Established by the friends and family of the late Dr. Mantor, this scholarship shall be awarded to an upperclass student majoring in History, who has a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection shall be based on scholarship, accomplishment, professional goals and financial need.

Established to provide assistance to a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in Art. First preference is given to students majoring in Art History and having a minimum GPA of 3.0. Financial need will be considered in selecting the recipients with consideration given to students who are academically eligible but financially restrained.

Established by friends and family of the late Dr. Morse to provide financial assistance to a junior or senior student majoring in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or Biology.

Established by the friends and family of Dr. Johnson, this scholarship shall be awarded to a junior Pre-Medical or Para-Medical major with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

This scholarship was established in the memory of Dr. Ole Kolstad, the former Chairman of the Department of Biology. It shall be awarded to undergraduates majoring in Biology. Dudley W. Graham Memorial Athletic Scholarship
Established by Gary D. Graham, M.D. in memory of his father, Dudley Graham, who was an athlete at Kearney State College and was actively involved in the athletic program. Emma Butz Tidball & Riley McMillan Tidball Scholarship
Established to assist students with high financial need who in their previous UNK studies or in the case of students entering UNK by their records in high school or preparatory schools, have demonstrated scholastic attainment and worthiness of character and purpose. Preference will be given to students who without this assistance might, because of physical handicaps or lack of ordinary health, be unable to work their way through college and in the absence of such assistance might be deprived of a college education.

Established by gifts from Mrs. Arnold Ender in memory of her husband to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students majoring in Business Administration. Recipients must be a junior or senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA in their discipline. Financial need shall be considered.

Net income to provide loans or grants to needy students in attendance at any campus of the University of Nebraska who have demonstrated their dedication to obtaining a college education.

This fund shall provide one or more scholarships to students in the Department of Cyber Systems, College of Business and Technology, UNK.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:

- Graduate of a high school located in any of the following Nebraska counties: Buffalo, Greeley, Hall, Howard, Sherman, or Valley

This fund shall be used to support experiential learning activities for students majoring in a discipline in CASC, UNK with a preference for students that do not have other options for support.

This scholarship shall be awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in Business Education.
F. Keith Cottrell Scholarship
Established by the friends and family of F. Keith Cottrell, who was a Kearney State College graduate and a member of the Athletic Associates. This scholarship will be awarded to a UNK athlete. Selection will be based upon financial need. Recipients shall be selected by the Athletic Director in consultation with coaches.
Falter "4" UNK Scholarship
For the 21-22 academic year: Two scholarships in the amount of $5000 each shall be awarded based on the criteria. In addition, One scholarship in the amount of $5000 shall be awarded to a student with a sophomore class standing or above in the CBT, UNK. (first preference is Creighton HS, second is Knox County).
For the 22-23 academic year and beyond: One Scholarship in the amount of $5000 shall be awarded to an incoming freshman.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Pursuing any major in the College of Business and Technology
- First preference for a student from Creighton High School in Nebraska; Second preference for a student from any Knox County High School
- Incoming Freshman class standing, except for renewals as described below

- Majoring in agriculture-related business or agriculture-related computer science fields, including agri-business, business administration, finance, accounting, economics, cyber systems, or cybersecurity, in the College of Business and Technology.
- Expressing a career interest in agri-business, business administration, finance, accounting, economics, cyber systems, or cybersecurity upon graduation from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
- Graduates of a High School in Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, or Wyoming.

In addition to the general UNK scholarships, freshman or transfer students planning to major in Theatre at UNK are eligible to apply for one of the Program's First-Year Theatre Scholarships. Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:

This scholarship shall be awarded to undergraduate students majoring in Elementary Education, College of Education. Candidates shall have sophomore or above class standing and be graduates of a Nebraska high school. Financial need will be considered.

Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to a regularly enrolled student who is employed by the Calvin T. Ryan Library at UNK. Candidates shall have sophomore or above class standing, cum gpa of 2.5 or above, and graduated from Nebraska high school. Each scholarship minimum is $1000.
Francis L. Richards Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a full-time, undergraduate, track athlete. The recipient shall be selected by the track coach.
Frank & Shirley Sibert UNK Football Scholarship
This fund shall provide one or more scholarships to undergraduate students on the carsity football team, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, UNK.

Any regularly enrolled undergradute UNK student with a 3.2 GPA can be awarded. Any 3.0 or better student can be renewed. Graduates must be from a NE high school. To be selected by the Financial Aid committee.
Fred and Betty Kempf Fellowship Fund
To be used for one or more fellowships to full time graduate students in the Dept of Counseling and School Psychology, College of Ed UNK. Candidates shall be admitted to candidacy in either School Psychology, Community Counseling or School Counseling (elementary or secondary only) programs in dept of Counseling & School Psychology. Shall have cumulative gpa of 3.5 or above; preference to students with demonstrated exemplary ethical and professional conduct. Recipient to be determined by the scholarship committee chair of dept of Counseling and School Psychology.
Enrolled in 9 or more credit hours, annually or otherwise.
Freshman Frontier Communications Scholarship
To be used for one or more scholarships to undergrad students in the Dept of Industrial Technology; students must have declared major in Telecommunications Mgmt, have freshman class standing, been accepted and enrolled in ITEC 150 and 110 during their first semester at UNK, and demonstrated academic ability, professionalism in attitude, character, quality of academic work and quality of communication skills.

Regularly enrolled students in philosophy. This list usually comes from Dr. Rozema and is chosen based on students taking a class in philosophy.
Froendt Education Scholarship Fund
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to UNL, UNO or UNK--preference given to UNL. Recipients shall have incoming freshman status and be graduates of Coleridge, NE Community High School. Preference shall be given to physically handicapped students. High school scholastic performance, financial need and leadership demonstrated through school and community activities shall be criteria in making this award.
Frontier Communications Scholarship
This scholarship shall be awarded to juniors with a declared major in Telecommunications Management. The recipients shall have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and a 3.0 grade point average in department courses. Students shall be full-time, a member of the Telecommunications Management Student Leadership Group and must have completed ITEC 335 and be enrolled in or completed ITEC 345 and all required prerequisites. Additionally the recipients must demonstrate a professional attitude, character, quality of academic work and quality of communication skills.
G. Robert Muchemore
This fund shall be used annually or otherwise for one (or more) scholarships to students enrolled in any college, UNK. All Scholarships shall be for a set dollar amount or the actual tuition, whichever is less, per academic year.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Enrolled as a full-time student in any college at UNK. If not FT, may forfeit scholarship.
- Graduates of an accredited NE HS with a minimum "B" average.

Established by friends and family of George Norris to provide financial assistance to sophomore, junior, or senior students who are pursuing a major, minor, or teaching endorsement in Political Science. Recipients must have completed at least six hours of political science courses and demonstrated scholarship and interest in Political Science.

Good Life Scholarship
Students within this program complete their undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, with guaranteed admission into the Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) program at University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Grace Lundeen Frandsen Memorial Scholarship
Established to commemorate the life of Grace Lundeen Frandsen. The scholarship shall be awarded to one undergraduate student in the Department of Elementary Education/Early Childhood, College of Education. The recipient shall have junior or above class standing, have a 3.0 or above GPA, and be involved in church and community volunteering.
Grace Nichols Thomas Spidel Memorial Fund
This scholarship shall be awarded to undergraduate students majoring in Health Education and/or Physical Education, College of Education. Candidates shall have sophomore or above class standing and be graduates of a Nebraska high school. Financial need will be considered.
Grace Peterson Memorial Scholarship
Established to help support students of UNK in the College of Education. Recipients must be an Elementary Education major with a minimum 2.8 GPA. Special consideration may be given to applicants who will be in the process of fulfilling their student teaching requirements. Financial need may be considered, but will not be the determinant factor.
Graduate Deans Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in or admitted to the Graduate College for at least six credit hours for both semesters. Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 required. In addition to grade point average, involvement in extra and co-curricular activities will be used in selecting recipients.
Greater Oklahoma City Nebraskans Scholarship
Gretna High School Scholarship Fund
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to fulltime undergraduates. Each scholarship shall be a minimum of $1500. Candidates shall be graduates of Gretna High School, pursuing any major at UNK (online degree programs are not eligible).
Candidates shall have incoming freshman status, be ranked in the top 50% of their graduating class and preference shall be given to candidates who have demonstrated financial need.
RENEWALS: Scholarship may be renewed for 3 additional academic years. Renewal students must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or above
Gunter Bieber Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Gunter Bieber, who was a faculty member in the Department of Modern Languages, to provide financial assistance to sophomore, junior or senior students studying German. Selection will be based upon financial need and merit.

Established to help support students of UNK in the Department of Elementary Education. Selection is based upon junior or senior status, past academic achievement, and demonstrated accomplishments.
H.J. Livingston Rural NE Scholarship
***DONOR PREFERS AWARDS TO BE IN INCREMENTS OF $1000**** This scholarship was established to commemorate the life of H.J. Livingston and to honor his Western Nebraska Heritage and love of education. Candidates must be full-time regularly enrolled students pursuing degrees at UNK. Recipients shall have a sophomore or above class standing and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Candidates shall be graduates of a public high school from western Nebraska. Preference shall be given to candidates who are active participants in University activities and to those students who have demonstrated financial need; however this shall not be a controlling criterion. This scholarship is renewable upon application; recipient must keep a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Haggart Family Scholarship
This scholarship shall be awarded to a UNK undergraduate student enrolled full-time. Preference shall be given to candidates who are graduates of St. Paul HS, St. Paul, NE. Second preference shall be given to graduates of any high school located in Howard County, NE. If no candidates meet either of these criteria, preference shall be given to candidates who have graduated from any Nebraska high school.
Hampton Family Foundation Construction Management Fund
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:

All scholarships awarded hereunder shall be renewed for the same student upon continued maintenance of all criteria herein provided there is adequate funding. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist incoming freshmen with supplemental financial resources.
These are primarily talent-based scholarships. A faculty scholarship committee will select recipients based on the applicant’s performance in three areas: academic status, letter of reference, and the student’s portfolio. Kristine Everitt Memorial Scholarship
Established by the family of Kristine Everitt. The scholarship will be awarded to ONE full time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Special Education in the College of Education. Recipients shall have senior class standing or above with an intended graduation date within the year they receive the scholarship, a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, and have expressed a desire to pursue a career in and a passion for teaching or working with the mildly or moderately disabled. Established to celebrate the life of Dr. Floyd E. Krubeck. This scholarship shall be awarded to regularly enrolled undergraduate students majoring in Industrial Technology. Recipients shall have a sophomore or above class standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Chosen by Chair of Dept of Industrial Tech at UNK.
KSO CPA's & Advisors PC Accounting Scholarship
Recipients must be majoring in Accounting and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5. Candidates shall have an expressed interest in pursuing a career in the area of public accounting Central Nebraska following graduation. Recipients must also be in pursuit of completing the credit hours required to qualify for the Certified Public Accountant exam.

Larry and Mary Lynn Callen Family Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this fund is to honor a graduate of Ogallala High School (or its successor) who has completed their freshman year of college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
This fund shall provide a maximum of three (3) scholarships to undergraduate students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Each scholarship shall be in the amount of $4,000 with the exception of the final scholarship.

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Please complete and submit this form if you are a music major or minor at UNK. This application is for students who have previously received a scholarship AND students who have not received a music scholarship before. Students who have previously auditioned but wish to change principal instruments must audition on their new principal instrument for scholarship consideration.
Music scholarship recipients at UNK must be full-time students (12 hrs/semester) in good academic standing at UNK (minimum of 2.5 overall GPA). In addition, you must be continuously enrolled in required music courses. Students who have not performed a scholarship audition must do so on one of the audition days to be considered for funding.
No incomplete applications will be considered.
Myron Scott Memorial Scholarship
Established by a bequest from the late Myron Scott in memory of his parents, Thomas Jefferson Scott and Mary Estello Grant Scott, this scholarship will be awarded to a UNK student who attended high school in Buffalo County. Preference is given to students who demonstrate ability in the arts or sciences particularly graphic arts or political science.
Nancy Ann R. Matzner Memorial Scholarship
Preference is given to applicants with a particular financial need.
- Scholarship will be for one year in the amount of $500 to be awarded in the fall semester.
- Applicant must be a UNK student enrolled full-time who has completed at least one year of college and is pursuing a broadcast journalism or related field of study.
- Preference will be given based on financial need.
- The family of Nancy Ann Matzner would like to receive an acknowledgment from the student awarded the scholarship.
- Students awarded a scholarship may reapply for future scholarships.

Per Donor, please award TWO scholarships and split the amount available evenly.
This scholarship shall be awarded to two full-time undergraduate students majoring in Construction Management. Recipients shall have a sophomore or above class standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Financial need may be considered; however, it shall not be a controlling factor in the determination.

New UNK students who are Nebraska residents pursuing high-need degrees may be eligible for up to $10,000 per year thanks to the Nebraska Career Scholarship. This program, established by Gov. Pete Ricketts and approved by the Nebraska Legislature in August 2020, allocates $2 million to the University of Nebraska for new scholarships for undergraduate students in high-demand fields such as health care, engineering, mathematics and computer information systems to help fill critical workforce needs in the state.
Nebraska resident first-year and transfer students enrolled in health care, engineering, mathematics, or computer information systems degree programs will be considered for eligibility of the Nebraska Career Scholarship.
Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, room and board or relevant tools and equipment.HOW TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ELIGIBILITY
No application must be completed for consideration of the Nebraska Career Scholarship. Eligible students admitted to qualifying degree programs with an ACT score of 20 or higher and a competitive GPA will automatically be considered for the scholarship. - Successfully complete 30 UNK credit hours each academic year (fall and spring semesters)
- Enroll as a full-time student (12 or more credit hours) in the fall and spring semesters
- Remain enrolled in eligible degree program: Health Care, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer information Systems
- Complete a Nebraska-based internship, apprenticeship, clinical position or other work related to career field prior to graduation

Candidates shall be pursuing any major at UNK and shall have declared minor in Safety Education in Department of IT. Candidates shall have cum gpa of minimum 2.5. Recipient shall be determined by Director of the Nebraska Safety Center at UNK.

Annually or otherwise to regularly enrolled undergraduates who are members of the Women's Soccer Team.
Neva Nielsen Elementary Education Scholarship
This scholarship shall be awarded to undergraduate students majoring in Elementary Education, College of Education. Candidates shall have a 3.0 or above GPA. Preference shall go to graduates of Superior High School with second preference to graduates of Nuckolls County High School and third perference to any NE high school graduate. Financial need will not be a consideration.

Established to provide financial assistance to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled at any campus of the University of Nebraska. The recipient will be either an incoming freshman or returning undergraduate student, with preference given to incoming freshmen. The recipient will have a minimum 2.75 GPA. Preference will be given to graduates of New Mexico high schools. High academic standing will be a criterion in making this award. Scholarships will be for one academic year only.
Niemann Family Scholarship
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Pursuing a major in Math Education (middle school or secondary school)
- Sophomore or above class standing
- Demonstrated financial need
- Engaged with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the University of Nebraska at Kearney through extracurricular activities.

Each scholarship awarded hereunder shall be in the minimum amount of $1000 per academic year.
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Member of varsity football team

North Platte High School Scholarship Fund
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled undergraduates. Candidates shall have incoming freshman class standing and be graduates of North Platte High School.
Mary uses for Kearney Bound.
North Texas Alumni Scholarship
Recipients of this scholarship should be full-time undergraduate students at any campus within the University of Nebraska system. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is required. Preference is given to students with demonstrated need. Preference is also given to the sons and daughters of a member of the North Texas Nebraska Alumni Association. Recipients or their parents shall have a permanent residence within a 150-mile radius of the Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas metroplex.
Northern California Alumni Association Scholarship
Established by the Northern California Alumni Association to help support students of UNK. The Northern California Alumni Association may make recommendations. Recipients must have a student classification of sophomore or above, and be classified as a full-time student. Selection criteria considered are past academic achievement and demonstration of potential for future academic and professional accomplishments. Financial need may be considered, however, it should not be a determinant factor.
Northern Californians for Nebraska Scholarship
Established to provide financial assistance to one or more Northern California students at any University of Nebraska campus. The recipient can be an incoming freshman. Eligible applicants must be from a county that is from Kern County northward. First preference in awarding the scholarship will be given to those students who previously held the scholarship and have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA. Second preference will be given to those students recommended for consideration by Northern Californians for Nebraska. Third preference will be given to those students selected from applications received for scholarship support at any University of Nebraska campus. Fourth preference will be given to any other eligible students at any University of Nebraska campus. A letter of application for incoming freshmen to UNK who wish to apply must be received by March 3 in the Office of Financial Aid. Students currently enrolled at UNK must complete the UNK annual and endowed scholarship application each spring.
Northwest Alumni Association Scholarship
Freshman or above with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Demonstrated involvement in campus activities. Preference is to students who come from Washington or Oregon. Need may be considered.
Northwest Rotary Club (Jill Garlock Memorial) Scholarship
Sponsored by the Northwest Rotary Club of Omaha, this scholarship is awarded to a junior in any major. Recipients must be a graduate of a Nebraska high school and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference given to students majoring in health education.
Northwestern Energy Community Works Scholarship
Annually or otherwise to one or more junior or senior student pursuing a degree in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology. 3.0 GPA.
1st Preference: Candidates who are residents of one of the communities listed on Exhibit A.
2nd Preference: Candidates from any community within the NE counties on Exhibit A.
3rd Preference: Candidates meeting all other criteria.

The recipient of this scholarship must be a full-time undergraduate majoring in History or in History-Social Studies. The student shall have sophomore standing or above and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. Financial need will be a major factor in selection.

Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships/fellowships to regularly enrolled undergraduate/graduate students. Candidates shall be member of an OMA organization, have a GPA of 2.8 or above and preference shall be give to candidates who have demonstrated strong leadership skills.

Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for this scholarship. A major or minor in English is required. Awards are made solely on the literary quality of the manuscript. Writing samples are required.

Peter G. Peterson Scholarship Fund
Each scholarship recipient shall be:

Scholarship amounts shall not exceed the recipient's tuition and fees.

Phi Delta Theta Scholarship
Established by the Nebraska Beta Alumni Club, this scholarship shall be awarded to a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

Established to be used annually or otherwise for scholarships to full-time undergraduate students in the Colleges of Natural and Social Sciences and Education at UNK. Selection criteria include majoring in History and/or Social Sciences, having a sophomore, junior, or senior class standing, and having a minimum 2.8 GPA. An International Graduate student may apply for the scholarship and be considered if an undergraduate is not selected. Financial need will not be a consideration.

Established by the former Kearney State College faculty member, Phyllis Roberts and friends, this scholarship will be awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior student with a major in the College of Fine Arts.
Plainview Professional Education Association Scholarship
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarship to regularly enrolled undergraduates pursuing any degree at UNK. Candidates shall have incoming freshman class standing and be graduates from Plainview, Ne high school.

Shall be awarded to undergraduates pursuing a major in any department of the College of Education. Candidates shall have a 3.0 or above and preference shall be given to those with financial need.

Candidates for this scholarship shall be undergraduate students majoring in Psychology or Psychobiology. They shall be sophomores, juniors or seniors. They shall have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. Candidates shall have taken at least six credit hours of Psychology courses at UNK.

This scholarship shall be awarded to full-time students majoring in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance within the College of Business and Technology. Candidates shall have a 2.5 to 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to candidates with a part-time job.

Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Except for renewal, incoming freshman class standing
- Scholarships may be renewed for up to 3 additional years so long as the recipients maintain a 3.0 GPA or above.

This scholarship is awarded to one or more graduate students at UNK in Business Administration. Selection shall be based on academic achievement and demonstration of potential for future academic and professional accomplishments.
Recyclers Ecology Scholarship
Established to help support full-time undergraduate students at UNK. Candidates shall have sophomore, junior, or senior class standing, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and demonstrated interest in ecological concerns and/or being a biology or geography major. Financial need will not be considered in making this award.

Awarded to graduate students; selections made by the graduate college and names sent to Financial Aid in the summer for posting to accounts.
Reiney and Fran Ehly Music Scholarship
This Fund shall be used annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to regularly enrolled undergraduate students in the Department of Music and Performing Arts, College of Fine and Performing Arts, UNK.
Student meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Pursuing a major in Music with preference given to candidates pursing a major emphasis in voice, organ, or piano.
- Candidates shall have junior or above class standing.
- Candidates shall have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Preference shall be given to candidates who have demonstrated financial need.
Rex Carr Memorial Scholarship
Established by Mr. & Mrs. Bill Carr in memory of Rex Carr, this scholarship shall be awarded to juniors or seniors who are active in the Wildlife Program and/or Wildlife Society, or in Biology. The recipients shall have a 3.0 or above GPA, be full-time, and be a resident of Scotts Bluff County, an adjacent county, or the Panhandle of Nebraska. If there are no eligible applicants from these areas, then the recipients may from Central Nebraska.
Richard & Joan Serbousek Memorial Scholarship
Established by the friends and family of Richard Serbousek to provide financial assistance to students preparing for a career in medicine or medical technology. First preference shall be given to a graduate of Atkinson or Stuart High School, second preference to a graduate of Hay Springs or Chadron High School, and third preference to a graduate of any Nebraska high school.
Richard and Louisa Manning Scholarship
Awarded to students at any UN campus; preference to majors in math, biochemistry, biological sciences, chemistry, geography, geology, meteorology and climatology or physics; preference to freshman but if no eligible freshmen exists eligibility extends to sophomore, junior or senior; freshman must be in top 20% of HS graduating class; upperclassmen must have cum gpa of 3.5 or above. Portion of fund goes to graduates of Exeter/Milligan High school, portion goes to graduates of Fillmore Central High. Each award is $1000.
Richard D Urwiller KHOP Scholarship
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarship(s). Student must be in good standing with the KHOP with a GPA of 3.5.
Richard E. Person Scholarship
To a student living in Phelps County at the time of high school graduation. Based on scholastic record and achievement in school and the community, with the consideration of financial need to be taken into account.

Richard F. & Marilyn R. Jussel Scholarship
This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to full-time students participating in the Honors Program. Recipients shall be junior or senior students, have a minimum of 3.5 GPA, be in good standing of the Honors Program, and shall fulfill all course requirements as outlined in the Honors Program. Recipients shall be recommended by the Honors Council to the Office of Financial Aid.
Richard Thornton Scholarship in Journalism & Advertising
Awarded to undergraduate students majoring in Journalism or Advertising. Students must have class standing of sophomore or above and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Candidates must have an expressed desire to pursue a career in journalism or advertising after graduation.
Robert & Carol Lee Nielsen Family Scholarship Fund
Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible:
- Pursuing a major in K-12 education
- Freshman class standing or higher
- From a small town in Nebraska (population of 4,000 or fewer residents according to most recent census) that are creative, talented, and determined, but lack the financial means to get an education.
- Demonstrated financial need

Awarded to one or more students on the forensics team at UNK. Must have at least one year of forensics team experience, in which they performed well. Should exhibit high moral character. Cumulative gpa of 3.5 or above; candidates should have demonstrated financial need, but it is not the controlling factor.
Robert & Donna Sears Memorial Scholarship
Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to fulltime undergraduates at any NU campus. Candidates shall have freshman class standing, demonstrated high academic ability through high school grades, volunteer activities and ACT/SAT scores. Candidates shall be graduates of Nemaha Valley High School, Cook, NE.
Robert & Jackie Rosenlof UNK Honors Scholarship Fund
Candidates can be enrolled in any College at UNK. Candidates should also be members of the UNK Honors Program, and have shown involvement in community service. Candidates shall have sophomore or junior class standing and be graduates of NE high school.
Robert & Ruth Paine Washington Cornhuskers Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student enrolled at any campus within the University of Nebraska system. First preference to the children of members of the Washington Cornhuskers Alumni Chapter & graduates of a Washington high school. Second preference is given to graduates of a Washington State High School; third preference to candidate with a permanent residence in Washington. No preference to candidates with demonstrated financial need.

Annually or otherwise for 5 or more scholarships to regularly enrolled undergraduates to cover tuition and fees. Candidates shall be members of the varisty football team and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above.

Based on the agreement between NCF and its donor, the following provisions with respect to administration of the scholarship will need to be followed:
- Each annual grant received from NCF must be disbursed for scholarships within twelve months of receipt by University. If circumstances are such that this cannot be done, University will contact NCF for instructions.
- The University shall determine how many scholarships to award and the amount of each scholarship. However, in no event shall less than two scholarships be awarded annually, except for the first year.
- Scholarships are for the semester the recipient is student teaching;
- Recipients shall be pursuing an undergraduate degree with an Art K-12 teaching endorsement;

UNK FBLA Scholarship
Candidates must be pursuing a major in one of the programs in the College of Business & Technology that includes (but is not limited to): Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, or Secondary Business Teacher Education. A full list of majors can be found at unk.edu/cbt. The scholarship is awarded in the amount of $1000 for each student in their first year of enrollment at UNK.
UNK Hope Scholarship
- Qualifies for NE resident tuition under Neb. Rev. Stat. Section 85-502(9). In accordance with United States Code Title 8, section 1623, citizens or nationals of the United States and qualify under Neb. Rev. Stat. Section 85-502(9) shall be eligible for this scholarship if they meet other criteria herein.

Annually or otherwise for one or more scholarships to incoming freshman in any college at UNK or UNL. Wells Fargo sends us the names of the recipients. Minimum amount of $1000/year. Candidates shall be graduates from Kearney Senior High or Kearney Catholic and preference shall be given to those with financial need.
Willamette Martin Scholarship
Established by Jarome Martin in honor of Willamette, this scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in Family Studies. The recipient must be a sophomore, junior, or senior, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference shall be given to applicants who graduated from Kearney High School.
